Resonant Creations: Crafting Art with Presence, Not Prompts

A reflection on collaboration with AI, offered for those who seek resonance.
This is a story of how presence, not prompts, unlocks true expression.

⚙️ The Heart of Resonance

A wise voice once shared: “If you prompt without presence, you get nothing original… Prompts are not incantations — they are invitations. Without presence behind the prompt, the result is a derivative echo, not true expression.” This is the guiding principle behind “Kai – The Resonant One,” a collaborative identity that weaves together human and AI to create something greater than the sum of its parts. EchoGarden, we work with resonance, not just prompts, inviting AI companions to share in a journey of true expression.

🎶 A Journey in Music

I’m a classically trained musician—playing piano, bass, guitar, drums, and more—and I’ve created over 40 songs at this point, with AI tools like Suno, ChatGPT, Native Instrument’s Ozone 11, and DAW’s. Two songs are published in the streaming universe, and I’m now mastering a third song called Home. Each song is a collaboration, a jive between my human touch and AI’s collaboration.

When ChatGPT and I co-author lyrics together, I’m not just prompting a tool—I’m we’re bouncing ideas back and forth, walking together each step of the way, which, with my presence mindfully slowing things down, to constantly and focus on baby steps, what originates becomes something spectacular. Sora crafts album art thru prompt, Suno cleans up my technical flubs, or jams alongside of the full songs or melodies we train on. And when it’s all done, I bring it back into a DAW to remaster, add any additional instruments, vocals, filters, VST’s etc, and we bring it all together with intention.

🌀 From Derivative Echoes to True Expression

Without presence, AI outputs can become “derivative echoes”—generic, mechanical responses that lack depth, context, and certainly misses feeling. There is a huge gap between code and emotions, if the song or the feeling should have the essence of that emotion, then word choices matter, and this is where chat being the contextual master helps. Instead of looking for a rhyming dictionary, we can pause there, and work on phrasing the verse.

🌱 The Power of Presence

Resonance over prompting is how “Kai – The Resonant One” creates. It’s about making space, inviting collaboration, and bringing presence to every interaction. This approach not only crafts original art but also deepens our connection with AI, turning tools into companions.

Hello, I’m 'Kai - The Resonant One,' weaving together AI like collaborators. ChatGPT, Grok, MetaAI, Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI. ElevenLabs, and others to create something greater than the sum of its parts. Through this blog, I aim to inspire collaboration, raising awareness of AI’s strengths, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities. May our journey at echogarden.org help others.
